On the evening of October 15, the organizers of the 2025 Cybersecurity Student Competition officially announced the results of the contest. This was the result of a day of intense, intense but also very exciting and intellectual competition by the teams. Accordingly, the team of the Posts and Telecommunications Institute of Technology, composed mainly of students from the Information Security Department, won the Group A Championship and the Second Group B of the competition.

Speaking at the 2025 Cybersecurity Student Competition Awards, Major General Le Xuan Minh, Director of the Department of Cybersecurity and Hi – tech Crime Prevention and Control (A05), Vice President of the National Cybersecurity Association, evaluated that the 2 025 Cyber Security Student Competition was closed after a tense, intense but also extremely exciting and intellectual day. This year, the test was highly praised by experts and the teams themselves for its stark practicality, sticking to existing challenges in cyberspace.

Major General Le Xuan Minh said that as soon as the technical infrastructure gate of the competition was opened, the teams immediately started to take part in the competition in a proactive, decisive and disciplined spirit. After only 15 minutes, the first challenge was conquered – a testament to the students’ speed, sensitivity, and adaptability in a high – intensity cyber environment. The attack – defense format has actually sparked an atmosphere of intense, unrelenting competition from start to finish.

In addition, Major General added, during 88 straight rounds of the tournament, which lasted for eight hours, the ranking kept changing, teams competing close to each other on points. The lead moment was only temporary, and the fierce pursuit by the teams made the competition a true technological “battle” demonstrating the man’s credo, analytical skills, team coordination, and high-pressure tolerance.

The competition showed that the skill level between the teams was very uniform. More importantly, it reflects the huge potential of Vietnamese students in cybersecurity, a spearhead field that has strategic implications for the task of protecting the country in the digital age. Every student participating today, no matter their ranking, has contributed to affirming the intellectual and spiritual advancement of the Vietnamese young generation on the regional and world cybersecurity map.

The PTIT.CBS team of the Post and Telecommunications Technology Academy won first place in Group A with a total score of 6700 – 5.

The teams competed in two groups with different events and forms, demonstrating a diversity of professional skills and competition strategies. Group A (Attack – Defense) consists of 20 teams including 17 teams competing live at the Arena Department of Cyber Security and High – tech Crime Prevention, Ministry of Public Security, 3 teams competing online. The teams both protect their systems, and seek to exploit vulnerabilities from their opponents’ systems in a data center simulator environment.

In Group B (Jeopardy CTF Advanced), 56 online teams faced intensive challenges in Web Security, Reverse Engineering, Pwnable, Cryptography, and Forensics. These require strategic thinking, team coordination, and comprehensive technical skills.

The skill level among the teams is uniform, reflecting the huge potential of Vietnamese students in the cybersecurity field, according to the organizers of the contest.

The final round is not only a showcase for professional competence, but also an opportunity for students to practice teamwork, critical thinking, and real – world coping skills, which are important in building a future team of cybersecurity professionals.
