In the face of increasingly sophisticated online scams, awareness raising and self-protection skills in cyberspace have become an urgent requirement for every citizen. In order to promote public awareness and develop safe behaviors in the digital environment, the Department of Cybersecurity and Hi – tech Crime Prevention and Control (A05) – Ministry of Public Security, in collaboration with the National Cybersecurity Association (NCA) and TikTok Vietnam, has officially launched the campaign “Anti-gambling 2025 – Slowly but surely”. The campaign aimed to spread the “Slow But Firm” message and safety formula 3C: Delayed – Block – BarrierIt helps people develop a self-protective reflex against suspicious information and behaviors online.

The 3C formula is a practical, easy to remember, and easy to apply in today’s digital world. “Slow” is when you stop to thoroughly check all information, and avoid jumping to conclusions about unfamiliar invitations, links, or notifications. “Block” means actively blocking and reporting accounts, links or content showing signs of fraud, thus limiting the risk of spreading violations. “He” is the establishment of strong layers of protection for personal data through the use of strong passwords, two – factor authentication, and frequent updating of security software. Each of these actions, while small, when carried out in unison, creates a shield that protects society against the threat of cybercrime.

With the drastic direction of the Ministry of Public Security and the cooperation of enterprises and organizations, the “Slow but Firm” campaign is not only about propagation but also aims to create a substantive change in the behavior of Internet users. Through creative media activities, the TikTok digital safety education series, and talk, seminar and training programs, the campaign helped to develop a “stop – think – check” habit before sharing or providing personal information. This is a key factor in reducing the damage caused by online fraud, while reinforcing people’s confidence in the Vietnamese cyber environment.
The campaign also affirmed the roles and responsibilities of stakeholders in protecting national cyberspace. Cooperation between regulatory agencies, technology enterprises and user communities will create synergy, help early detect and quickly handle violations and strongly spread the active prevention of cybercrime. Every individual and organization can become a digital shield, contributing to the development of a secure, transparent and reliable digital society.
The campaign “Anti-gambling 2025 – Slowly but surely” is not only a media program, but also a call for action by the entire population. Slow down for a second to check in, block in time to hedge risk, and block data carefully to protect yourself — that’s how each of you contributes to building a secure digital future for yourself and your community. Cyber safety begins with our own perceptions and actions.
