The three quantum networks (VNQuantum), ViSecurity and Air, Space and Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV Vietnam) will contribute to raising Vietnam’s position in the world map of technological value chains.

On August 25, under the chairmanship of Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Chi Dung, the Ministry of Finance held a ceremony to announce the establishment of three strategic technology industry innovation and expert networks: Quantum (VNQuantum), Cyber Security (ViSecurity), and Aerospace, Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV Vietnam).

Do Thanh Trung, Deputy Minister of Finance said: “Quantum technology, cybersecurity and aerospace, UAV are emerging as three strategic pillars shaping the global economic, security and defense future, with market sizes estimated at hundreds to trillions of dollars over the next decade.”

In Vietnam, according to the Prime Minister’s Decision No. 1131, quantum, aerospace, and cybersecurity are among 11 strategic technological sectors. Quantum technology opens up computation, sensing, and hyper – security communication; cybersecurity becomes the essential “shield” for digital infrastructure; aerospace and UAV advance the economy of space, defense, and modern logistics.

With its young human resources, wide application potential and large market demand, Vietnam has a golden opportunity to participate deeply in the global value chain, gradually becoming a center, according to Do Thanh Trung. Innovation In these strategic areas.

The VNQuantum network focuses on three pillars: high-quality human resource research and training; promoting the application of quantum technology in finance, economy, health, security and defense; and enhancing international cooperation to receive and transfer advanced knowledge.

Meanwhile, the ViSecurity Network was set up with a view to mastering security technology, developing the “Make in Vietnam” solution that protects key digital infrastructure, while connecting experts, businesses and research institutes with international cybersecurity centers. Ngô Tuấn Anh, the network’s president, said: “ViSecurity will make an important contribution to Vietnam becoming a leading security technology innovation center in the country. And in the world. ”

The Vietnam UAV network aims to take Vietnam from a consumer market to a manufacturing, innovative and important player in the global value chain of the aerospace industry.

Speaking to direct the conference, Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Chi Dung evaluated the establishment of three strategic technology networks as the beginning of a long journey where Vietnamese intellects at home and abroad together contribute to shape the country’s future.

“The development of strategic technologies is no longer a choice, but a national development imperative. Resolution 57 and Resolution 68 gave us new spirit and vision, Decision 1131 gave us goals and destinations, and today, the Network for Innovation and Technology Professionals Strategic Industry is Action. ” The deputy prime minister said.

The Deputy PM expressed his desire that the three networks will be “long – term arms”, working with the Government, ministries, sectors and enterprises; actively participating in the process of strategic planning, policy formulation, promoting research, development and application of new technologies, thereby contributing to solving major challenges, turning the country’s “difficult problems” into “great opportunities” for the future. At the same time, the two semiconductor and artificial intelligence networks established since 2024 will thrive to become “innovation nuclei” in strategic technological fields.
