13 higher education institutions are selected by the Ministry of Education to lead excellent training centers and technological talents in 9 fields. Accordingly, the Post and Telecommunications Technology Academy is the leading educational institution in the following fields: Next – generation network technology, smart cybersecurity technology and multimedia.
The list was announced by the Ministry of Education and Training on the morning of June 14, at the conference to implement the schemes on human resource development and three – house cooperation.
Project 347, approved by the Government in February, aims to develop a system of excellent and talented training centers on the basis of key investment in a number of strong higher education institutions. This group will act as the core to connect and exploit domestic and foreign resources for training, research and technology transfer in some priority technological areas of Industry 4.0.
In each priority technology sector, the Government requires the formation of 1-2 networks of excellent and talented training centers. Particularly, the fields of artificial intelligence, semiconductor industry and biotechnology need to have at least 2-3 networks in the whole North, Central and South.
Each central network is led by a strong institution of higher education and at least 5 other institutions and several businesses. This needs to be done by July 15th.

Under the Scheme, each network must organize at least one excellent program on adaptation training or retraining, advanced training or intensive training. At the same time, each network shall strive to attract at least 100 outstanding Vietnamese scientists and experts overseas or foreigners to participate in teaching and research.
