On March 26, 2025, in the Republic of Austria, the Chairman of the National Assembly’s Committee for Science, Technology and Environment, Le Quang Huy, and the working team of the Ministry of Science and Technology (MOST) led by Deputy Minister Bui Hoang Phuong, witnessed the signing ceremony of the Memorandum of Understanding on cooperation between the Department of Information Technology Industry and the Post and Telecommunications Institute of Technology (PTIT) and EVGroup, one of the world’s leading enterprises specializing in supplying equipment for semiconductor production.


The Chairman of the National Assembly’s Committee for Science, Technology and Environment, Le Quang Huy, Deputy Minister of Science and Technology, Bui Hoang Phuong, and the Working Group, witnessed the signing ceremony of the Memorandum between the units.
Senior Representative of the Post and Telecommunications Technology Academy, Dr. Tan Hanh, Deputy Director of the Academy participated in the signing. According to the signed minutes, the cooperation contents focus on three main pillars: 1) Research and development (R&D): Promoting R&D programs in key technologies such as nanofabrication, 3D packaging and MEMS; 2) Training and capacity building: Designing intensive training programs for students, engineers and researchers to improve their technical expertise in the field of semiconductors; 3) Production and testing cooperation: Implementing practical projects to move Vietnam closer to building a modern semiconductor manufacturing industry.
Speaking at the event, Deputy Minister Bui Hoang Phuong stressed: “The cooperation between EVGroup and the Department of Information Technology and PTIT not only contributes to raising the capacity of Vietnam’s semiconductor industry, but also brings practical value in training, research and development, in line with the country’s long-term vision and sustainable development orientation.”

As the national key school of Engineering and Technology, as well as one of five universities tasked by the Prime Minister to develop high – quality human resources for the semiconductor chip industry, from 2023, PTIT has opened training in chip design.
