In the digital era, cybersecurity has ceased to be the task of technical experts alone but has become a national strategic issue, tied to the safety of data, systems, and people […]. In that spirit, the Cyber Security Student Contest 2025, chaired by the National Cybersecurity Association (NCA ), under the auspices of the Ministry of Public Security and the Ministry Of Education and Training, has officially launched and made a strong mark on the Vietnamese community of cyber students.

2025 Cybersecurity Student Competition – Preliminary Round
The Preliminary Round of the contest, which took place online nationwide on October 18, 2025, attracted 312 teams with 1248 contestants from universities, institutes and colleges nationwide and internationally. The teams competed in the Jeopardy CTF model – where knowledge, skills, and critical thinking were challenged through topics such as Web Security, Pwnable, Reverse Engineering, Cryptography, Algorithmic Challenge, and Forensics.
After hours of intense and dramatic competition, the Top 10 strongest teams in the country were officially announced – among them, the Northern Campus of Posts and Telecommunications Institute of Technology (PTIT) had the honor of having two teams: P TIT.CBS and PT IT.0verflow, whose members were students of the Information Security Department, were included in this list of excellence. This impressive achievement once again confirmed PTIT’s leading position in information security training and research, as well as the strong competitive capacity of its students on the cyber security map of Vietnam.

The two PTIT teams have demonstrated their strength, solid knowledge, and flexible problem – solving abilities, surpassing hundreds of opponents to affirm the capacity of the young generation in the mission to “protect Vietnam’s cyberspace.” This is also the result of professional and team-building efforts under the guidance of the PTIT Information Security Department’s instructors.

Preliminary Round Results – Top 10
The teams will continue to enter the Finals and the 2025 Cybersecurity Student National Festival, which will take place on November 15, 2015 in Hanoi, where the youngest talent in the information security field will compete directly to win the top spot.
Congratulations to the two Northern PTIT teams that made it through the national Top 10!
Let’s look forward to the PTIT warriors’ stunning breakthroughs at the 2025 CSCV Finals – where wisdom and technology passion converge.
